​The Mantle, or Pallium or Dalmatic Robe - or Robe Royal

  
Link to the Royal Collection for the Mantle made in 1821 for George IV and also worn by Georges V and VI and Elizabeth II.
Also known as Robe Royal.

The Mantle is made of cloth of gold and woven in coloured threads with emblems. The gold clasp is in the form of an eagle. More details in the link.

Provenance
" Made for the coronation of George IV at Westminster Abbey, 19 July 1821, subsequently a perquisite of the Dean and Chapter of Westminster Abbey, and later owned by a private individual.
Returned to the Crown in the early 20th century and worn to their coronations at Westminster Abbey by King George V, 22 June 1911; King George VI, 12 May 1937, and Queen Elizabeth II, 2 June 1953. "

According to Coronation Costume the Supertunica, Stole and Mantle were made for Edward VII for his 1902 coronation and exhibited in 1973 at the London Museum.

The Mantle was lined with crimson satin and richly embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework with roses, thistles, shamrocks, crowns, eagles, olive branches and passion flowers. 
By the date of the exhibition the Mantle was badly tarnished and the embroidery faded.
